The world-famous palace-fountain and park ensemble of Peterhof is an outstanding landmark of Russian artistic culture of the 18-19th centuries. Hotel Samson appeared opposite the entrance to the Upper Park of Petrodvorets. By the beginning of the 20th century-the Samson Hotel became the best hotel in Peterhof. The restaurant of the hotel was especially popular - even Alexander Dumas praised its cuisine in his memoirs. One of the wide-known Russian writers Lev Tolstoy visited the place. The hotel worked till 1928-when it was destroyed by a fire. Nowadays-almost a century later-the Samson Hotel is revived to become once again the most popular hotel in Peterhof to create a unique atmosphere for guests in a new building nearby Imperial Palace. The hotel can accommodate 135 persons in 59 rooms. Rooms for low-mobility persons also available.
