The legendary Gloucester Luk Kwok Hong Kong was built in the early 30's and was being known as one of the top hotels at that era. In the 50's, Mr Richard Mason, stayed at the hotel for four months and completed the famous novel ¿The World of Suzie Wong¿ which made the old Gloucester Luk Kwok Hong Kong immortalized till today. In the early 90's, the Gloucester Luk Kwok Hong Kong was redeveloped at the original site and transformed to a 29 storey tower which is the first hotel cum office complex in Hong Kong.
